As summer waxes and the colors begin to turn from green to golds, we enter into one of FPC's fullest seasons.  We hope you will share your presence among us at 10:00 Sunday mornings as we prepare for Christ's arrival in December.

Over the autumn months, we are meditating on "12 Simple Words" as part of an extended Sunday morning sermon series.  In September, a new part-time staff member will be adding to our ministry together.  In October, congregants will be challenged to 40 days of gratitude culminating on Thanksgiving Day.  Meanwhile, in November, we will restart our contemplative experience we call 1016 on Tuesday evenings at 7:30.   All the while, we will be continuing our weekly and ongoing mission and ministry on the Western Slope!  Your presence among us only adds to our sense of purpose and meaning as God's people.

Noteworthy September Events:

First Sunday:  We welcome Jonathan Gorst as our new Worship Arts Director!  Adult Choir practice launch right after the worship experience.

Second Sunday:  Important Youth planning event after the 10:00 service.  Bring your calendars and your appetites

Third Sunday:  We launch our enriched music ministry opportunity for our Kids.  Any suggestions for a name for FPC's newest ministry?  New members going.  We also will host participants with Youth Zone's PALs program for a picnic in Sayre Park after the worship experience.

Sept 2oth:  Read and Feed at the Lewis' home.  Contact the church office for more information!

Fourth Sunday:  We welcome Steve Rice to the pulpit as the children offer up a song of praise!

Hope to see you at the Church House or along the bike path!  Charis
