The Reverend Melinda Veatch has been coming to the Roaring Fork River Valley since she was in high school. She loves this area and is excited to serve First Presbyterian Church as its Interim Pastor. Melinda has served in both congregational and community ministry settings. She was Associate Pastor at St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Hurst, Texas, and she served as Executive Director of Tarrant Churches Together, an inter-denominational community ministry in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a graduate of Austin College in Sherman, Texas where she completed a BA in English and an MA in Education; she completed an MDiv at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas, and a DMin at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. She and her husband Glen live in Grand Junction, Colorado, and enjoy hiking, exploring, traveling, and soaking up the diverse beauty of this great state.
