First Presbyterian Church: Our Vision for Ministry
Our Vision for Ministry is to preach and teach the gospel, to build and nurture a community of believers, to reach out to our larger community, to lift up the poor and oppressed.
We welcome Rev. Gary Bryant, our temporary supply pastor. We value his gifts of preaching and caring and leading. Read his bio under Worshiping.
Jonathan Gorst, our Worship Arts Director and gifted musician, plans and leads one worship service monthly. His gifts of music and drama enliven our worship. Every Sunday his prelude and offertory lift our spirits. Our congregation excels in singing, especially with Jonathan on the piano. Read his bio under Worshiping.

6:30pm - 8:00pm
Taught and facilitated by Karl Oelke, Bible scholar and retired professor of English at West Point, this ecumenical group focuses on the life and ministry of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of Luke.
Who is this Jesus? Jesus has been named many things by many people – the good shepherd, the suffering servant, an illiterate peasant, a Jewish mystic, a First Century Jewish prophet, a Palestinian revolutionary, the messiah an exorcist, the light of the world, just to list a few.
All are welcome to join us as we study, discuss, and pray together.
To sign up, contact Karl at 876-4090 or [email protected]
