Christina is an experienced musician, pianist, and music director. Locally, you may have seen her playing keyboard and music directing The Secret Garden production at the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue. She has also been a pianist for performances with The Madrigal Singers, Symphony in the Valley, and at Snowmass Chapel. Christina has provided musical direction for various youth theatre productions at Theatre Aspen and SOL Theatre. She has also produced and music directed The Addams Family, Sound of Music, and Mamma Mia! for Basalt High School. She played flute in the pit orchestra for Glenwood Springs High School’s productions of Funny Girl and Shrek, and she was a pianist for Oliver! produced by Defiance Community Theatre. She has also accompanied and performed in cabaret performances at Thunder River Theatre Company. Christina has also been a choir director and accompanist for Maroon Bel Canto Choirs through Aspen Music Festival and School.
Christina earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Musical Theatre from Ohio Northern University and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Ohio University. As a church musician, Christina has played piano and provided musical direction across multiple faith denominations, including at North Coast United Methodist Church in Oceanside, California and at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, Ohio. She has also served as a Choral Scholar at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Athens, Ohio. She was formerly the pianist at Rifle United Methodist Presbyterian Church, prior to accepting a role as an Administrative Assistant at Two Rivers Unitarian Universalist congregation in Carbondale, Colorado, where she served in that role for a little over six years. Christina is a full-time teacher by day, and teaches high school English at Glenwood Springs High School. Christina has a love and connection to sacred music, and she is delighted to be serving at First Presbyterian!
